Try a fresh spin to cooking squid by trying this tasty recipe. A little bit sweet, a bit spicy and guaranteed to be 100% delicious!
1/2 kilo fresh squid, cleaned 4 cloves garlic, crushed one onion, chopped a piece (or two!) siling labuyo 1 tsp. brown sugar salt & pepper oil 2 tbsp. catsup 1/4 cup water 2 stalks spring onions, for garnishing
1. Clean squid & slice. Set aside.
2. Put oil in pan then saute garlic & onions. Do not brown. Add brown sugar and water. Put squid, cover the pan and simmer till sauce is thick and squid is tender.
3. Towards end of cooking, add siling labuyo and adjust spiciness level. Season with salt & pepper to taste and add a dash of catsup.
4. Top dish with chopped spring onions and serve.
