Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif here on Friday awarded internship letters to some 4,900 students.
Addressing the ceremony, he said that there is unemployment in the country but no political party striving to overcome the serious issue. PYIP would not only make the students to work in reputed organisations and companies and get basic training according to their education but also enable them to earn livelihood.
He said that the number of female students who were applying for internship was much higher than the boys students. He advised the boy students to work hard otherwise; the girl students would surpass them in every field as they were doing now in education sector.
On the occasion, the CM announced to distribute more than 125,000 laptops among outstanding students after the end of Muharam-ul-Haram. He said that a total of 15,000 laptops would be distributed among the talented students of Rawalpindi division during a ceremony to be held at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
Shahbaz, while recounting the development projects, vowed that billions of rupees have been spent on them by his government and not a single penny has been embezzled. “If any person comes with evidence for plundering even a single penny from the funds spent on the development and beautification of the city, he is ready to be held accountable,” the CM remarked loudly.
He also said that Punjab government successfully tackled issues of dengue, floods in efficient manner. He also blasted President Zardari and his cronies for looting national kitty and asked the people to vote for PML-N in upcoming general elections so that the plundered money could be taken back from the looters.
