Agitated over two Indian soldier killing by Pakistani troops in a daring act of intrusion along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir, the Shiv Sena on Wednesday demanded Defence Minister A.K. Antony’s resignation .
Slamming the UPA government on its inept handling of diplomatic relations with Pakistan, Sena spokesperson Sanjay Raut said that India should stop any type of talks with the hostile neighbour.
He reiterated Shiv Senaâ??s demand to end cricket diplomacy with Islamabad and ban Pakistani artists from Indian TV shows and films. Raut said people who invite Pakistani players and artists should also be charged with sedition.
It could be mentioned that Shiv Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray had last year strongly opposed Pakistani cricket team’s visit to India and even cautioned against hoisting any match in Maharashtra. He had also supported the demand of his estranged cousin – Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray – not to allow Pakistani artistes take part in an Indian reality TV show.
