Pak, India clash in U-19 WC Q-Finals

BRISBANE: The quarterfinal of the U-19 cricket world cup will be nothing less than the final for the Pakistan team where they play India on Eid day.

Sri Lanka, which ranked 5th in world ranking in ODIs, have been ousted from the junior event where as Bangladesh have booked their seat in the quarterfinals.

Pakistan is undefeated in the tournament so far but India lost against the W-Indies in the group stage.

England will play their quarterfinal against South Africa and defending champion and host Australia will play against Bangladesh on 19th August.

Pakistan plays India and New Zealand play the West Indies in their Quarterfinals on the 20th August.

The Pakistan India quarterfinal clash is, as always, expected to be the most interesting match of the tournament.

The 2012 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup is a one-day cricket competition for sixteen international U-19 cricketing teams. This is the ninth edition of the tournament. The event is stagging in the Australian state of Queensland, with matches being shared between the cities of Brisbane, Sunshine Coast and Townsville.
