A gang leader of Kurdish origin, Aslan Usayan, known by the nickname Ded Hasan, was murdered while leaving a restaurant in Moscow on Wednesday, Russian news outlets reported.

A Russia-based journalist told www.haberrus.com, a news portal that covers Russian news in Turkish, that the 76-year-old mafia leader had links with the terrorist Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) and played an important role in the transfer of arms to the PKK from Russia. The journalist, Sergey Kanev, based his allegations on police documents he obtained.
