DPC rises against declaring India MFN

Denouncing the government decision of giving MFN status to India, speakers of the Difa-e-Pakistan Caravan have vowed to launch countrywide movement against the bid to give concessions to the arch enemy.

They believed that the nation “considers India an enemy and wants to revenge of the Fall of Dhaka.”

“To repeat the history of East Pakistan, the arch rival has set up training camps in Afghanistan and India has been supporting separatist movements in Balochistan,” they said.

The Defence of Pakistan Council, an alliance of about two dozen religio-political parties, arranged the caravan from Masjid-e-Shuhada to Wagha on Sunday to protest against giving MFN status to India and to mark the anniversary of Fall of Dhaka.

Addressing participants of caravan and the media, DPC chairman and chief of his own faction of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Maulana Samiul Haq said that the purpose of caravan was to give a clear message to the world that the nation was not ready for friendship and trade with the arch enemy.

He said that the nation wanted to take revenge from India for its role in dismemberment of Pakistan. He said that the India has illegally occupied Kashmir and was involved in massacre of over hundred thousand innocent Muslims in the held valley. He said that MFN status and trade with India was betrayal with the freedom struggle and blood of Kashmiri martyrs. He said that India was hatching conspiracies with the support of the US and Israel for further division of Pakistan. He said that the DPC would thwart nefarious designs of the enemy with the public support.

Ameer Jamat-ud-Dawa Hafiz Muhammad Saeed said that it was a pity that the rulers have forgotten the tragic day of December 16 when India separated east wing of Pakistan.

“We have come here to tell Indians that if some opportunists are acting on the US influence, the entire nation wants to take revenge of Fall of Dhaka”, he said. He said that the DPC would never allow the conspiracies against ideological boundaries of Pakistan to succeed. He said that after knowing that she could not defeat a nuclear power with military might, India wanted to financially cripple Pakistan through trade. He said that MFN status to India without resolution of Kashmir issue was not acceptable for the nation. Referring to the government move of removing banners and hoarding of DPC from City roads, he said that the rulers were not happy with the movement launched against the MFN status for India. Referring to the India demand of his handing over, he said that the enemy has failed to give solid evidence even after lapse of four years. He said that the Apex and High Court have rejected all dossiers presented by India. He asked India to present evidence of his involvement in Mumbai attack to the courts in Pakistan.

Chief Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamat Maulana Muhammad Ahmed Ludhianvi said that the DPC has come out to unveil faces of those hatching conspiracies against ideological and geographical boundaries of Pakistan. Instead of looking into the reasons that led to Fall of Dhaka, he said, the rulers were making friendship with the arch enemy. He said that the DPC would continue movement to force rulers to stop dreaming about friendship with an enemy.

DPC Convener Hameed Gull said that the India has not changed her stance on Kashmir even after lapse of 65 years. Now, he said, the US and Israel were supporting India to repeat the history of Fall of Dhaka. He said that the rulers were part of conspiracies against Pakistan and there was need of awakening the nation to fail nefarious designs of the enemy. He said that India was making conspiracies to destroy agriculture and further divide the country. He said that India was sending terrorist trained at camps in Afghanistan to Pakistan. He vowed to fight for the defense of Pakistan till last drop of blood.

Awami Muslim League Chief Sh Rasheed Ahmed said that economy and defense of Pakistan was in danger. He said that industry of Pakistan has destroyed and now India was trying to grab local market. He said that the Kashmiris have sent message of not rubbing salt on wounds. He said that the nation would fail all conspiracies and the country would continue to exist till day of judgment.

Ansar Al Umma Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman Khalil said that the rulers have betrayed ideology of Quaid-e-Azam and Pakistan. He said that the rulers were bent upon promoting trade with India even after getting clear evidence of its involvement in Balochistan. He said that the DPC has launched movement due to wrong attitude of rulers.

Naib Ameer Jamat-e-Islami Siraj-ul-Haq said that the carvan has sent a clear message to the world community that the nation was against friendship with India. He said that MFN status to India was betrayal with the blood of martyrs.

JUI Nazriati Secretary General Maulana Abdul Qadir Loni said that there were clear proof of role of the US and India in separatist movement in Balochistan. He said that Rehman Malik was rubbing salt on the wounds of Kashmiries through irresponsible statements on Indian soil.

Tehreek Hurmat-e-Rasool (PBUH) Convener Hafiz Abdul Rehman Makki said that the nation could not forget sacrifices of hundreds of thousands of martyrs. He said that help of innocent Kashmiris was responsibility of the entire nation. He said that the nation was not ready to accept the decision of giving MFN status to the arch enemy. JI Deputy Secretary General Dr Farid Ahmed Piracha said that the day remind the nation enmity with India. He said that the nation has yet to take revenge of Fall of Dhaka from India.

Qari Yaqoob Sheikh, Abdul Rauf Farooqi, Pir Saif Ullah Khalid, Saif Ullah Mansoor, Naeem Badshah, Hafiz Masood, Husnain Siddiqi, Abdullah Gull, Ajmal Qadri, Dr Waseem Akhtar, Zahid Bakhtawari and others also addressed the participants.
