Your journey has been long but full of hope (1994)

Your journey has been long but full of hope
Even when the darkness carried shards of fire
Setting your world ablaze as you run through
All the ways you know how to cope
White ricochets as you fall to your knees
But all that I’m saying is lift your head high

There is a sort of haunting melody
That comes with the way you see things
Don’t you know you’ll never be alone though
Don’t you know you can find a way home

You’ve only tried to do what’s right
When all you could see was the silent screams
Searing into your skull as you hide in here
All the places you know to be safe
Red booms and shakes as you hold out your hands
But all that I’m saying is lift your eyes to the sky

There is a sort of haunting melody
That comes with the way you see things
Don’t you know you’ll never be alone though
Don’t you know you can find a way home

You’re leaving now, leaving everything you know
Even though there are many left behind to face their fears
Singing as they go to one certain fate
All the way, the children hold hands and their voices carry though
Orange beats against your eyelids as you squeeze them closed
But all that I’m saying is lift your heart above it all

There is a sort of haunting melody
That comes with the way you see things
Don’t you know you’ll never be alone though
Don’t you know you can find a way home
Don’t you know you’ll never forget
But you can still find a way
A way home.

You’re listening now to the man playing a haunting tune
Even though you know the song, it brings you to tears
Sighing as he plays among ruins where people once stood
All the memories come flooding back, blinding your senses
Gray clouds are crying for you, for where you hurt
But all that I’m saying is lift your hands to take mine

Let the haunting melody play
The one he plays to remember
Don’t you know you’ll never be alone though
Don’t you know you can find a way home
Don’t you know you’ll never forget
But you can still find a way
A way home.
