Twitter named former Google chief business officer Omid Kordestani its executive chairman of the board, part of a series of big changes enacted since the return of co-founder Jack Dorsey as CEO.
Dorsey revealed Kordestani’s appointment via Twitter on Wednesday.
Kordestani joined Google in 1999 as a “business founder,” working as its chief business officer since last year. Kordestani previously worked at tech companies Netscape, Hewlett-Packard and Go Corporation.
“Omid is a proven and experienced leader, who will directly help and coach me and our leadership, and help us recruit the best folks to Twitter,” said Dorsey of Kordestani’s appointment.
“It’s rare you get to be at a company with an amazing business that’s also transforming the world. I’ve had good fortune to be at three: Netscape, Google and now Twitter,” said Kordestani in a series of tweets… see more
