The most expensive nail polish in the world has been unveiled.
Containing 267-carats of black diamonds, the tiny bottle of varnish, by Los Angeles-based luxury jeweler Azature, has been priced at $250,000.
Just one bottle will be produced, however, budget 0.5oz versions of the ritzy design, that each contain a single black diamond, will go on sale later this month.
Priced at a somewhat more reasonable $25 per diamond-shaped bottle, It will be stocked in Fred Segal stores throughout Los Angeles.
The one-off product has been targeted at the ‘one-percenters’ according to a press released from the company.
The budget version will be available in black and brushes on with a glittery sheen.
Azature, the one-named designer behind the brand, said that the black diamond is the ‘ultimate fine jewel’.
He added: ‘One day I thought, “why not showcase this style on nails?” So I developed a Black Diamond Nail Polish with the same attention and quality as my jewelry in order to preserve the elegance of the black diamond.’
It is not the first time a nail polish has been sold for such an inflated cost.
