Between three and six survivors were found among the wreckage of a plane crash that was carrying at least 81 people, according to officials cited by the BBC and The Independent.
The plane, with flight number CP2933, crashed outside the Colombian city of Medellin around midnight local time (5.00 GMT). Medellin’s Mayor Federico Gutierrez said there is at least three survivors, according to Associated Press, but others are reporting that this number is higher.
The BBC translated the following airport press release, which allegedly says that an electrical fault to the control tower was to blame for the crash and that”all possible aid was being mobilised because six survivors are being reported.”.. see more
