KENSINGTON PALACE will open a major fashion exhibition on July 4, entitled Fashion Rules: Elizabeth, Margaret, Diana at Kensington Palace, chronicling how royal style has evolved from the Fifties to the Nineties.
The showcase will start by looking at the attire that the Queen wore in the Fifties, then turning to Princess Margaret in the Sixties and Seventies and how her style reflected the playfulness and liberalism of the period. For the Eighties and Nineties, the focus will be on Diana, Princess of Wales, as the exhibition highlights the enduring impact that she had on the fashion landscape.
The display will feature dresses worn by all three women, accompanied by photography, film and music, to offer a comprehensive look at how royal fashion influenced and reflected trends of the era.
