Qatar declares 11 days Eid holidays for gov’t workers

Qatar has declared 11 days off for Eid Al Fitr holidays, with government ministries, institutions and public entities closing on Thursday July 24 and not reopening until Tuesday, August 5, the Qatar News Agency reported. The private sector is expected to be closed for three days, depending on whether the start of Eid Al Fitr is declared on the Monday or Tuesday next week.

In the UAE, federal employees were awarded 9 days holiday, while the private sector will close for two days, most likely on the Monday and Tuesday Earlier this month, it was confirmed Kuwaiti public sector workers have been given a nine-day holiday for Eid Al Fitr. Other Gulf states are yet to announce their Eid Al Fitr holiday dates.
