The fake ‘Gentleman’ is apparently such a dead ringer for the ‘Gangnam Style’ star that he has been able to make the rounds of parties and events at the famed film festival.
Psych! “Gangnam Style” star Psy may appear to be in Cannes partying it up, but it’s not really him.
A man pretending to be Psy has been spotted all over the popular film festival, attending parties and events, and posing for photos with fellow celebrities.
The imposter bears striking resemblance to the 35-year-old “Gentleman” singer, and was seen wearing outfits very similar to what the pop star usually wears.
On Wednesday Psy confirmed on Twitter that he isn’t even in France. In fact, he’s halfway around the world in Singapore.
“Seems like there’s another ME at cannes,” the real Psy tweeted. “Say Hi to him.”
Psy tweeted his amusement about having a look-alike, which he was informed about by Justin Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun.
“Skyfall” actress Naomie Harris shared a photo of herself with the fake Psy, but later learned she’d been duped!
“It looks as if we’ve been fooled, that wasn’t the real [PSY]!” she wrote. “Could anyone else tell from the picture? Or am I just going crazy!? Haha!”
