Once again actor Paul Walker, who died over the weekend, is being remember for his generosity, compassion and big heart.

According to NY Daily News, Walker anonymously purchased an engagement ring for a soldier and his bride-to-be several years ago during the holidays.

According to CBS, Walker was in the store at the same time as the soldier, who just came back from Iraq, and overheard the soldier and his fiancee talking about a ring that they couldn’t afford. That was when Walker called over the manager, told her to put it on his tab, and then he left.

The ring had a price tag of $10,000. At the time the couple did not know who purchased the ring for them.

The employees who were working that day kept the purchase a secret, but decided to tell the world about it because they thought it was the right time to share the inspirational story.
