Universal Pictures has announced a new title for Jurassic Park 4, also revealing that Jurassic World will open in cinemas on June 12, 2015.

The fourth instalment comes 14 years after the third, with Safety Not Guaranteed director Colin Trevorrow at the helm this time around.

The screenplay for the film comes from Trevorrow and screenwriter Derek Connolly, with the director previously teasing a new dinosaur that will be introduced in the movie.

‘We have a new one that’s pretty cool,’ he told JP Forever. ‘I’m not going to tell you anything about it, but… it’s pretty badass.’

It was previously confirmed that Jurassic World will also feature underwater dinosaurs and see a return to the Isla Nublar location that was seen in Steven Spielberg’s original.

The adventure film has been the subject of much speculation on the internet, but Trevorrow said all rumours should be taken with a hefty pinch of salt.

‘I saw some of the rumours on the internet and I would have all kinds of red flags going off if I heard they were going to muzzle a T-Rex,’ he added.

‘So I would say don’t believe everything you read, there are way more insiders on the internet than there are in real life.’
