Etisalat Group has hired Hatem Bamatraf as its new group chief technology officer.
Bamatraf, who has about 20 years’ experience in the telecoms sector, was previously executive vice president of enterprise at Du.
Bamatraf joined Du in 2007 as senior vice president of network development. Before joining Du, he was director of network development at Mobily in Saudi Arabia, and prior to this he was chief engineer of mobile systems at Etisalat.
Bamatraf holds a degree in electrical and electronic engineering.
