George Zimmerman has reportedly been taken into custody in Central Florida in connection with an incident involving a gun and another person. He is apparently being held at the home of a relative of his estranged wife.

According to ClickOrlando, Lake Mary police told the media that they were called to a house on Sprucewood Road on Monday afternoon.

A report had been received that Zimmerman was involved in an altercation with another person and that there was a threat involved.

According to records, the home is owned by David and Machelle Dean. Apparently Dean is Zimmerman’s wife, Shellie’s, maiden name.

Zach Hudson, a spokesman for the Lake Mary police said that police are “trying to determine what exactly happened.”

Few details are currently available, but there is a live broadcast by Sky 6 over the scene of the incident.

ABC News is reporting that Zimmerman is being held at the residence of a relative, on suspicion of domestic battery of his estranged wife.

The incident comes just a few days after Shellie Zimmerman filed for divorce.

Zimmerman was found not guilty of the second-degree murder of Trayvon Martin in July 2013.
