He commanded a huge price tag, but Gareth Bale is starting to look like a bargain after continuing his sparkling form for Real Madrid against Real Valladolid.

The Welshman, who bagged a stunning free-kick goal in Madrid’s Champions League clash in midweek, followed that up with his first hat-trick in Spain.

Bale got the first with a neat header, before lashing in a second with his right foot.

He then completed the ‘perfect’ hat-trick with his left foot, lashing home after fine work on the wing from Marcelo.

Bale’s golden trio took just 13 games, while Ronaldo took 62 to score with the left foot, right foot and head all in the same match.

Lionel Messi has never done it – and he’ll be out to right that when he returns from injury.
