Fugitive Edward Snowden has left Moscow airport, according to his Russian lawyer.
“I have just handed him the documents from the Russian Federal Migration Service. They allow him to leave the airport,” said Anatoly Kucherena, quoted by the Interfax news agency.
“Snowden has left Sheremetyevo airport.
“He has just been given a certificate that he has been awarded temporary asylum in Russia for one year.”
An airport spokeswoman said the 30-year-old had left the airport within the past two hours.
