Free-kicks come in all varieties in the modern game and Metro is always pleased to see some ingenuity behind set-pieces.
Step forward German fourth division outfit Rot-Weiss Essen (yes, Red-White Essen in English) who produced a free-kick masterclass in their game against Fortuna Dusseldorf II.
Six players originally gathered around the dead ball, with two running in at the same time in a bid to wrong foot the wall and the opposition goalkeeper.
It seemed to do the trick as Kevin Grund then took full advantage, curling the ball superbly into the top left-hand corner of the Dusseldorf net.
Job done, boys. Watch and learn, everyone else.
