After the 2014 Football World Cup which took place in Brazil, was over, almost all brazilian stadiums were left behind staying vacant. Two French architects Axel de Stampa and Sylvain Macaux in their project “Casa Futebol” proposed a reappropriation of the stadiums using modules of housing of a surface of 105 m ². Stadiums will continue to receive soccer matches, a part of the income will support the construction and the maintenance of the houses. Since around 250,000 people were evicted from their homes to make way for the World Cup games it’s more than ‘fair’ to help people get a shelter.
