AUSTRALIA has won the second Ashes Test at the Adelaide Oval by 218 runs to take a commanding 2-0 lead in the series with three games left.

England – chasing a massive 531 for victory – was bowled out for 312 this morning.

Its resistance lasted just 56 minutes and 11.4 overs today, with four wickets falling for 65 runs.

Stuart Broad (29), Graeme Swann (6), Matt Prior (69) and Monty Panesar (0) were the batsmen dismissed.

Jimmy Anderson remained unbeaten on 13.

Broad and Prior were both caught at fine leg, bringing the tally of English batsmen who fell that way in the innings to four.

Peter Siddle finished with the best figures of 4-57 while Ryan Harris snared 3-54.. see more
